Vienna is the city of romance, and it is in February that the city unfolds its wintry charm. We have put together some special highlights that will make your weekend unforgettable:

Take the direct connection by underground line U1 from our apartments: Stop Reumannplatz to stop Kaisermühlen.
• Exclusive photo in front of Gustav Klimt’s ‘The Kiss’ at the Belvedere Museum Vienna: Visit the Belvedere Museum Vienna on Valentine’s Day and have your photo taken for free by a professional photographer in front of the world-famous painting ‘The Kiss’ by Gustav Klimt. • Star Date at the Planetarium – Valentine’s special at the Vienna Planetarium: A romantic evening under Vienna’s most beautiful starry sky including a Valentine’s surprise. Website only available in German but we are happy to help you out if you require assistance in booking your time slot. Direct connection from our apartments via underground line U1 from stop Reumannplatz to stop Praterstern.
• Relaxation at the Therme Wien: After an eventful day in the city, the Therme Wien offers pure relaxation and romantic moments for two. You can also easily spend a whole day with your beloved one enjoying the pool, spa and sauna. Take bus line 68B or underground line U1 to go directly to Therme Wien.
• Romantic candlelight dinner: book a table at one of Vienna’s renowned restaurants – for example at the legendary Steirereck restaurant in the Stadtpark or for a special Valentine’s menu at Palais Coburg. Both offer exquisite menus in an elegant, romantic atmosphere. For both restaurants, take tram line D directly from our apartments to stop Schwarzenbergplatz.
• Valentine’s Day Romantic Dinner Cruise – Love magic on the Danube: A romantic evening on the DDSG Blue Danube, a very special cruise with a 4-course menu and live music. You will reach the DDSG Blue Danube jetty directly from our apartments via underground line U1 until stop Vorgartenstraße
• Horse-drawn carriage ride through the old town: Treat yourself to a ride in a classical Viennese “Fiaker” through the historic city centre. Snuggled up in warm blankets, you can admire the most beautiful sights such as St Stephen’s Cathedral or the Hofburg Palace. You can start your carriage ride for example from Vienna’s historical center at St. Stephen’s where you can go directly from our apartments by taking underground line U1 5 stops to Stephansplatz.
• Haus des Meeres experience: How about an exclusive evening tour of the unique Haus des Meeres in Vienna? See the animal inhabitants in the evening hours without the hustle and bustle of other visitors and ask the trained staff your personal questions. We recommend you take tram line 11 directly from our apartments to Polkorabplatz (4 stops) and switch to underground line U3 that takes you straight to Haus des Meeres (stop Neubaugasse)
• Masquerade ball on the day after Valentine’s Day, 15 February 2025: Legendary Cirque Rouge party with two dance floors and an impressive burlesque show – dress code in the style of the 20s to 50s. Website is only available in German but we are happy to assist you should you want to book a ticket. You can reach the venue The Vindobona via underground line U1 to Nestroyplatz and then taking bus line 5A to Karl Meißl Straße.
• Opera or concert: Visit a performance at the Vienna State Opera or a concert at the Musikverein. Let yourself be enchanted by classical music. Vienna State Opera is best reached via underground line U1 – 4 stops until Karlsplatz, Musikverein via tram line D until Schwarzenbergplatz.
• Exciting guided tours of the Natural History Museum Vienna and its collections: Use your weekend together to wander through a museum as a couple and learn interesting facts on a guided tour, which you can discuss over a coffee afterwards. Take tram line D to get to Natural History Museum directly (stop Ring/Volkstheater)
• Walk through Schönbrunn Palace: Even in winter, the palace park has a special magic. Combine the walk with a visit to the Gloriette, where you can enjoy the view over a Viennese coffee or hot chocolate. Take tram line 6 until stop Margaretengürtel and switch to underground line U4 which will take you to Schönbrunn.
